ParticipantPS, I like your image and your posts.. but I can see why people would resist it.. No one really knows exactly what will happen.. but a good question is why do you care what they think? Why must you shove it down their throats.. it’s almost like you don’t seem satisfied until you witness them barf some back up.. Who cares whether someone agrees? Are you really trying to save them, or do you need people to agree with you to feel right?
Why not make the prediction 47% or 52%.. I think people are going to be a little line shy if you toss around a number as round as ‘50%’.
Your approach requires people to agree before you stop.. you’re relentless which is good in some ways, but beating the same dead horse can’t be healthy for you… I believe your audience will expand with a more Rich like approach.. he doesn’t go around attacking dissidents, he puts together the evidence and lets the reader decide.
I like you.. but I can sort of see where some of the people that get frustrated with you are coming from.

ParticipantAnxvariety, I’ll watch Dick and Jane on your recommendation.
Sorry I had the name wrong.. it’s actually ‘Fun with Dick and Jane’.
This is seriously THE southern california real estate bubble movie.. there are illegal immigrants, and the main characters son speak spanish from hanging out with the maid almost exclusively! LOL.. A few of these scenes will really stick with me, and probably even come true for some!!!
There are a few scenes that had my girlfriend and I both laughing at the same time which doesn’t happen too often… The movie is very easy to watch, thought it does have some subtle things that I caught which made me feel smart! I normally fall asleep during movies, but this one was easy to watch.. the ending is slightly weak, but overall I think it’s a very fun movie with pretty good acting.. this movie is right up the alley of someone who visits this site and finds sheeple’s behavior funny…

ParticipantWhere will you get the 10 trillion replacement dollars, and how will you employ the millions that will lose their jobs?
I know I know!! The Fed stops reporting M3 and turns the printers on full blast!!

ParticipantWiley thanks for the excellent post.. I am going to stay in my positions for the time being as it encourages me to follow them more closely(and I think there could be some buyouts).. I did not buy as much as I had originally intended. I realize the risk.
Wiley I’m curious what percentage of the houes you’ve sold are permanent or bought to rest on a foundation? I’ve heard that banks are more willing to finance a manufactured home on a foundation.. correct/incorrect?

ParticipantIt’s good that Rich doesn’t police this.. I like forums that are organic and self correcting.. people that don’t like it will move on, and the people that can deal with the reality of it will stay and contribute.. Who has the expectation that everyone will agree or like them? I think having a high opinionated profile is going get people on your case, it just comes with the territory.. it especially will show up on a forum where people can lob grenades anonymously.
I’ve been involved in it before in forums.. sometimes it’s hard to avoid, but I’m trying to contribute as a recovering forum arguer! 🙂
“He who angers you conquers you.” Don’t know who said that, probably lots of people..

4. Took my real estate classes in 2001 and the instructor sounded like Carlton Sheets.. thought it might be overpriced in certain areas even then considering all the flipping and profiting going on in resale.

ParticipantDodge Rams are good.. the same can’t be said about the Durangos! I’ve heard of lots of nasty repair bills.. 🙂
Having a paid off car is a great feeling.. I just recently paid off my 05 Tacoma.. It’s a drain on finances to be paying interest on something that depreciates anyways!

ParticipantIf you read my post you won’t see me saying that it’s a good deal.. it’s more of a ‘young mortgage rep has a BMW and more importantly he’s selling it’. It’s not your usual car sale…

ParticipantI believe that the US and Mexican elite are the only ones to benefit.. it’s just more weight for the middle class. Not cool. I’m not willing to trade tax dollars for more barrios or as you say ‘culture’… I’ll visit Mexico if I’m interested.

Your HOA will include providing food, entertainment and medical for illegal immigrants that decide to squat on your backyard.

ParticipantI’m not looking to pull the trigger on anything any time soon, but I am interested in looking for symptoms of a recession. That said, BMWs do retain their value very well. Especially if it’s a car like this that has 50k miles with a 100k warranty… this car is still a little overpriced.
