ParticipantJust thought I would revive this thread…
any comments on the part of Poway where this house is located:http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-100022520-13320_Brian_Park_Ln_Poway_CA_92064
It seems to be in an Ok part of Poway, probably nicer parts?

ParticipantThanks everyone for the feedback. SD Realtor is spot on about this property. I had been there to check it out yesterday, they have done some work (kitchen is nice) and the house shows quite well internally. They probably have spent about 20k or more on the house, so they will struggle to break even. As of yesterday it did not have any offers on it, I guess that’s why they reduced the price.
There is some freeway noise in the yard and the patio upstairs but it really did not feel much, the noise is quite faint.AN, Rolling Hills seems to be a 9 based on this site:
http://www.greatschools.org/school/parentReviews.page?id=6045&state=CA&sortBy=dd&pager.offset=16
and here it says its a 10 ….
But, overall the schools in that area of are quite good it seems.
I just don’t see how any part of PQ can be considered lower middle class bedroom today….even in north east PQ nothing sells below 400K, at least SFHs, and most homes do require a 6 figure household income to be able to afford (I am considering a fixed loan with a decent downpayment). If that’s lower middle class, what’s middle class here?
Compared to most people here I am newer to San Diego, having lived here for 6 yrs only.

ParticipantGlad I pulled out of escrow last week. Lost $350 which I had spend on the inspection….but I think I made th right decision, there have been some price reductions in 92128, 92129 since May 1st and the trend seems downwards.
