Second that, absolutely nothing wrong with renting at all.
That is as long as such renter is not bitter about it. Unfortunately that does seem to be the case for the OP.
the only ones bitter are those who live in CV… it backs my assertion to the ‘t’
oh wait, AN lives in mira mesa but covets CV for some reason. AN, CV is not that special, you can be secure in MM.
lol, I don’t want to live or covet in CV. Try again.

If I were you and absolutely had to buy in CV I’d find a house that needs a lot of updating then do the remodel. Contact the listing agent directly and put in strong offer.
well i certainly don’t have to buy in CV. but we may end up doing that if it makes good sense. i need a contractor to walk through and do an estimate for the things we would like done. i wonder how much they would charge for that.
but i don’t throw lowballs, i.e. anything greater than 9% off list. i prefer the seller to make the first move to show some sort of understanding of the market conditions. and some will hold out or delist. that’s fine. but there’s always a seller who needs to go and they get motivated real fast if no other offers come through or if a buyer is ready to go with no contingencies.
there has been a runup in sales this year which may be due to interest rate mania, so i’m curious to see how things look after the “big event” next week and beyond.
funniest thing I’ve read since the permabull were saying buy now or be priced out forever in 2005. Thanks for a good laugh.

Participant

AN – can i ask you do you walk into a car dealer and offer the MSRP for a car? if not, then you are surely a snob! or better yet, you can’t afford it!
I don’t complain the car I want is over priced and bash it because I can’t get it for the price I want. I’m not an entitled millennial.
this thread is full of envy and false assumptions.
i’m not a millennial.
lol, who’s envious?
You sure sound like one even if you’re a gen x-er or boomer. Some people just never grow up.
I stopped taken you and this thread seriously a long time ago. So, take a chill pill. You have nothing that I would be envious of. Stop thinking so highly of yourself.
an
Participant
flu, you’re main issue is that you are equating CV to a porcshe GT4
Yep, flu is wrong. CV is not GT4. It’s more like a Veyron in price lol.an
ParticipantWhy shouldn’t they make it this difficult to get a gun?
But I feel like this is a false analogy. Especially if you believe life start at conception. If you believe abortion is killing babies, then more babies were murdered than all of these terrorist attacks combined.
Since one side want to ban guns and the other side want to ban abortion, should we ban both? I wonder how they would vote if a bill like that comes to the floor.

Participant

not sure why you keep hitting on my ability or inability to buy a home in any of the areas i’ve listed.
LoL, if only you can read your own comments from the eye of someone else. Then you wouldn’t be asking this question.
HAHAHA – i could say the same thing about most of you, x1000
Fyi, we’re not one the questions. LoL. Someone is really confused.an
Participant

Not sure …maybe get 2200 to 2500/mo?
The area is nice. I could save so much time in yard work.
That area looks really nice. I have to say, I sometimes envy folks that have a career out in Temecula or close to it. Pay probably is roughly the same, At the same time, twice as much home, for half the price.
I missed my opportunity in passing a short sales in Temecula a few years back. Big mistake…. Huge!
not that big of a mistake. My huge mistake was not buying SFR in MM when they were in the high $200s. Now, that’s what I call HUGE.
Let’s not go down memory lane, otherwise we’ll keep one upping each other on huge mistakes…… :)
My other huge mistake was passing up on a SFR in solana beach when it was in the $600s. Now they’re going for around $1m.an

Easy for you to say, when you are white. Why dont we lock up your wife the next time some asian does something bad…Heck, they all look the same.
Shit, I can’t believe I said that. I’m suppose to be a conservative… This world is going mad, i tell you….
that happened not too long ago.

Participant
Just a question out of curiosity, and not at all meant to be rude–but with all of the discussion on this thread about Asian households, priorities, saving “face,” etc., I was just wondering what happens in said households if, after all of the planning, sacrifice, etc., etc, the kids end up not measuring up to the familial expectations?
What happens if they can’t get into their chosen college, or land their chosen position, or, you name it–are they ostracized forever?
I think most of us have extremely high aspirations for ourselves and our children, but we also realize things don’t always go as planned, and I hope, for the kids sake, everyone realizes that.
If you want a crash course, watch “fresh off the boat” :-D.an
Participant

the only positive about mira mesa is that wings n things. mmmm.
i love all the CV folks trying to tell me that, because it’s not to my taste, that i “just can’t afford it” and that it’s above my class. has my point been proven without me saying anything?
Wings n Things? That’s some nasty shit. Been there once and never been back. Now I’m understanding where all of these rants are coming from.
I am envious Mira Mesa has a chick fil a..and the only IHOP around. Granted it’s no Snooze.but you don’t have to deal with the snooze lines.
Chick Fil-A and IHOP? How white are you? You should be envious that we have Mana BBQ,Tofu House, and now 85 degrees :-P.
Now stop right there. Chick fil a just rocks. Its the only place that still isn’t afraid to use msg. Even Chinese restaurants stopped using msg…
So they say 😉
