neither of these threads are trolling. this is a serious issue we are facing. there is one center that is adjacent to an elementary school off of camino del sur. are you telling me you would be comfortable leaving your children there? i would want armed guard protection at a minimum.

ParticipantCall your prison buddies in the Nazi LowRiders and they’ll arrange it for you. At a small cost — I think your first-born’s soul should be sufficient.

Given the number of OTs, this one is quite relevant to the topic of housing market.
BTW, which elementary school in Del Sur are you referring to?
I’d not buy next to a social services center either.

ParticipantSo, you went from Carmel valley to del sur. OK. And now you are worried about and Islamic center. And previously you complained about some old baby boomer looking at your kid funny because he/she is mixed. This has got to be the biggest troll or you are really a fvcked up person that needs to take a serious look in the mirror at all the things you complain about other people. We are done here. Talk to your agent to help you, although I think for the it’s a waste of time because you won’t be buying anytime soon.
Just rent. Figure things out yourself in the meantime.

No more so than buying next to a church or synagogue, honestly. Even if VERY HYPOTHETICALLY, a member of the mosque is a radical, why would they destroy the house next door?
This being said, it might be relevant in a way that the OP hasn’t thought of. Some local bigots might feel moved to attack the mosque or harass the worshipers. (Especially if there’s another war, or unrelated terrorist incident somewhere in the US.)
I’d buy next to a mosque without a moment’s hesitation. If it keeps people like the OP out of the market, guess I can get the property more cheaply 🙂

thank god someone gets it – it’s so scary out there, these days. willow grove elementary.
many social services buildings are un-marked for a reason, btw.

ParticipantThey should have a big scarlet letter painted on their walls. “W” for Welfare. Their denizens should also have “POOR IMPULSE CONTROL” tattooed on their foreheads. Would that make you happy?

You know, I’m much more concerned if the guy zig zagging through cars behind me in the lifted pickup is going to give it the gas when the light turns yellow when I’m looking to stop.

Participantthe expectation is very simple – government ought to be thoroughly investigating the people who are affiliated with this particular faith for any and all linkages to radical movements oversees.

ParticipantI swear, are we talking about San Diego anymore?
It’s sounding more like paranoia from Texas….

Easy for you to say, when you are white. Why dont we lock up your wife the next time some asian does something bad…Heck, they all look the same.
Shit, I can’t believe I said that. I’m suppose to be a conservative… This world is going mad, i tell you….

ParticipantIf you think an islamic center is going to be harboring terrorists, then you should be buying right next to an islamic center. I mean, terrorists don’t usually go jihad in their own backyard. Just saying….Run, don’t walk….Property values near islamic centers are about to go up.
