ParticipantThe cost of HOA & MR would be similar to adding between $80k-100k to the cost of the house. That’s would mean you can get a 2600 sq-ft house for ~$490k-510k/month.

Participant
No doubt AN that Macs are more expensive but I find the cost well worth it. Again, I was one of those guys for years that thought Mac people were nuts and it would be too difficult to switch over. I really wish I would have switched sooner.
When I was a PC guy…I’d get top of the line laptops with high end configurations. My last Sony Laptop I think I spent $4,500 on. And it crashed all the time. I’ll simply never go back to a PC again.
A decked out Macbook Pro 15′ is about as good as it gets for me. I travel quite a bit as well (over 100+ days a year) and the Mac is so durable, lightweight and battery life is amazing.
Heading into the future I wouldn’t be surprised if Mac someday has more users than PC. Apple is becoming a powerhouse.
I’ve been using Mac for the last 4 years for work. However, the 1st 3 years, I was running Windows XP on it. While in the last year, I finally have to use the Mac OSX on the new Macbook Pro 15″. All I can say is, I have more crashes using OSX in the last year than using Windows XP in the previous 3 years. I do agree that Mac hardware (industrial design) is top notch. But the software itself is sub-par compare to Windows 7. I’m able to run Windows 7 on my 10 years old Thinkpad and it runs smoothly enough to browse the web and basic document editing.I’m a life long Thinkpad supporter. After having a Thinkpad through out college, tossing it around, not using a dedicated laptop bag, yet it’s still working to this day. Same with another Thinkpad I bought 10 years ago. The hard drive finally died after 10 years. I will never switch to another brand. After using Mac OSX for the last year, I know I will never pay to buy a Mac with my own money.

ParticipantI call BS. I blame it on the government and their permitting process. There are plenty of land in SD, just like there are plenty of land in Texas. Yet, how can builders continue build VERY inexpensive homes there and not there while still make a profit. Builders will build any and all kinds of homes, as long as they can do it profitably.
