ParticipantSD R, I agree with all your assessment about MM, except maybe about the schools. Unless it has changed since I went, back then, we tend to one of the top school in SD Unified. We always have problem getting $ because our test scores were high. It really depend on who you hang around with, but all of my friends went to a 4 year university, ranging from SDSU to Cornell & Harvard.
Personally, I think there’s a big differences between west & east of Camino Ruiz. I think it goes something like NW > SW > NE > SE. The kind of crime we usually see is auto theft. I don’t remember ever hearing about shooting or anything like that.
It’s definitely a big plus to live near work. Nothing is better than being able to go home for lunch.

ParticipantAlthough Parkdale is quite a busy street +/- a few blocks north and south of MM Blvd, the location of this house is near the dead end of Parkdale, so, it should be pretty quiet. 30% off from peak, not too shabby. Definitely heading in the right direction and pace :-).

Participant(Also, in 2010, you’ll be able to convert traditional IRAs into Roths, with no income limit. Check out Suzie Orman. Sweet!)
Be careful and watch out for taxes when you convert it all in one year though. Those extra “income” from conversion might push you into the next tax bracket.
