Participant
When I am having a good year I usually pay all the taxes in December and I make my January mortgage payment in December to maximize my itemized deductions. This will be one of those years.
How early you pay your January mortgage payment? Can pay even in Dec 30th and take this benefit of maximize itemized deductions? or at least by Dec 28th? which one preferred.

Are you sure? – if this person bought the home (i.e Closed ) in 2010 AUGUST and got the property tax for July 2010 to 2011 and wanted to pay all in one attempt to show that in 2010 income tax claim.

I have a quick question. If you pay entire property tax for full year, which is for next due date Feb 2011 amount included, Can you state and claim these amounts in this year 2010 Income Tax returns?.
