ParticipantI agree with juice. Chat forums are for the exchange of ideas, and to an extent that that may involve venting frustrations, it’s usually tolerated, just as complaining about the weather is.
Aggressive posts always remind me of the guy who honks his horn …surrounded with armor and a quick escape route. Would you walk into a bar and say to a bunch of people face to face “you are cry babies”? The anonymity that the internet gives you needs to be respected.
As far a conforming limits are concerned and taking action, I think it has been pretty widely proven that if you give this government enough rope it will usually hang itself. No need to take any action.

ParticipantYou shouldn’t have any problems with renting a car in Europe if you go through the normal channels ie expedia etc. There is a company called Sixt http://www.sixt.com/ which I often use in France as they tend to be a little cheaper and shorter lines. Otherwise its the usual international companies you get anywhere in the world. You can of course lease/buy a car which is quite popular alternative to rental, but I’m not sure what the advantages are.

ParticipantI heard somewhere that the same rules that apply to citizens also apply to long term green card holders, but what period determines a long term legal resident, I don’t know. I think you have to have been resident for five years before you are able to buy Medicare, so perhaps that’s the period. Isn’t your allowance $80,000 before you need to start paying the IRS as a non-resident?
