    I think kewp is right on, I wish I had his (assuming kewp is male) discipline.

    Does anyone here think WaMu will fail within the next 90 days? My husband, as executor of a relative’s will, has over $700K in WaMu and he is getting ready to distribute the funds but the court date keeps getting pushed back. Should we worry, since only $100K is insured? Court date probably in late August now.

    I will place the probability at more than 90%. If Freddie/Fannie fail in anyway, WaMu can shutter in under 2 weeks. The instability in finance and banking systems is incomprehensible right now. Truth is, nobody has a clue how to solve the problem.

    Jennyo: Tell the executor to run, not walk, to the WaMu and get out $600k of the $700k into another bank, like Wells. Some depositors in the midwest have lost money this year by not acting preemptively.

    Of course, 90% within 45 days seems just-as-much so.
