David Lereah is no fool. He must have realized that his job at the NAR has become increasingly difficult.
After all, one can only put so much positive spin on the bad news. And the bad news kept getting worse & worse.

As we know, human nature is such that we need to put a face to the evil-doers. People can thus rally against such “evil.”
With Lereah gone, the bloggers’ attack on the NAR won’t be so voracious and fun.

“David, is all this stuff I’m reading about you on the internet true? Are you really a lying sack of shit that couldn’t recognize the truth if it bit him on the ass?”
David: “Well, …”
Mom: “Now David Lereah, I can tell when you’re lying to me and I won’t stand for it …”

He is probably contractually prohibited from doing this, but if he wasn’t such a book could set NAR back quite a bit.
