JFC. Trump has never denied that he called her what he was accused of calling her. Logically, we can stipulate that he did it. Only someone incapable of logic would dispute that. That really is the whole story. None of the rest is the least bit important.
You have no evidence that she gained 65 lbs or any other amount of weight. She said it was 19 lbs. That you think it’s meaningful is disgusting.
She has no reason to deny she had eating disorders. Are you blaming a young woman for eating disorders now?
You have a problem with Latinas, obviously. Clinton doesn’t need to use her as a token anything. You’re a liar about her getting paid. There is zero evidence that is true, yet you continue to smear this woman who is guilty of nothing but being humiliated by your candidate.
Your disdain for women and Latinas is abhorrent, as is your support for a racist fascist.
And Clinton is far from my idol. Another of your outright lies absent any evidence.

SK, between you and your “sidekick” (flu/flu redux/bullishgurl/fat_lazy_union, etc, etc, depending on what day or time it is) who seems to have recently gotten into the habit of following you around here on your coattails, I just want to point out that the words, “slut” and “prostitute” (to describe Machado) were in both of YOUR posts . . . not mine.
BG. The irony of this is SK and I rarely agree on anything. Neither do harvey and I. And the same could be said about BrianSD and I. And yet, why all the sudden is one of us saying the exact same thing to you?
Maybe the problem isn’t everyone else. Have you considered, maybe the problem is you?
I can’t tell if you were always like this, or if somehow Trump brainwashed you into thinking half of the things you say is actually rational. Maybe it was just all bottled up, and after years of suppression, you now feel comfortable enough to show how you really think, because there is a public figure that as you say “isn’t concerned about being PC”… What you don’t realize, is this is beyond being PC. If you can’t tell the difference between when people are overly PC, and when someone is outright hostile/offensive, well no one can help you then.
As a rule of thumb, the litmus test is pretty simple. Is what I’m about to say something that I could say at work without the consequences of being fired? Ask yourself that very question in most of what you say these days. Trump can get away with his behavior, because he’s pretty important person. You aren’t, and can’t. You would be unapproachable by any other employer. You know that.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again. The people who are going to suffer the most from Trumpmania when it ends, is not Trump and his immediate family, regardless of what happens in the election. The people that’s going to suffer all the people that are just normal jane/joes that act and behave exactly like him in front of everyone else. This is beyond you being political. It about just basic rational thought process of any reasonably decent human being. I’m curious, what is your plan B , if Trump doesn’t win, and suddenly there’s all this backlash against everyone and everything that has been an outwardly offensive/insensitive jerk that has characterized his support base? What if he does win and leaves office 4-8 years later after Trumpmania is no longer prevalent and normal human decency has been restored as the defacto standard? You think people are going to all this behavior that challenges human decency?

My life will be the same no matter WHO becomes our next president. If I have to remain on obamacare (if I choose to retire in place) until I’m eligible for MC, that will be the only difference in it (if HRC should win the election). And, in any case, obamacare will still be in place for all of 2017 no matter who wins.

Well, for starters, something that you’ve proven recently on this board is you do tend to have racist/xenophobic tendencies. That was a surprise to me. And like I said, ever since I learned about that, things are quite different imho. And more recently, you’re trying very hard to rationalize some of this behavior, which is interesting. You’re trying to make an argument that everyone is just too PC…
Uh, I’m the last person that really would care about PCness. Like I said, you learn from your Trump god, and we’re beyond just being PC.
You keep speaking here of Trump’s supposed “gaffes” and un-PC sounding talk … as you perceive it. Do you honestly believe that Trump voters are just like Trump? If you do, you’re far more delusional than I imagined you to be.
Not everyone. I tend to evaluate people on a case by case basis. When it comes to you, most definitely, you think and act exactly like him, minus money and financial influence to get away with it..
There were a few run ins with some adults at some social gatherings too, and yes they would fit in that category with you too.
So yes, so far, my run ins with Trump supporters have been people that are
1) racists
or
2) aren’t very well educated or informed (and I’m not talking about college degrees)
or
3) have an ax to grind because for whatever reason personal decisions they made in their life that affected them financially is somehow everyone else’s fault.
(rant about Hillary)
I wouldn’t know about Hillary. I’m not a big fan of her either. And like I said, at this point, it’s picking the lesser of two evils, especially when one side tends to be racists, xenophobic, and insists on blaming all of their social and economic woes on someone that isn’t (for the lack of the better word) white.
For whatever reasons, you’re fixated on Latinos somehow stealing finance/benefits/opportunities away from you. You thumb your nose at asians who are willing to work much harder than you, and for the most part have achieved more than you have because they were willing to put the time and energy into it. You talk about limiting asians with your simple minded “let’s give them harder English proficiency tests”, when the fact of the matter is many of them probably have better English than you or I (at least written)…
All of your arguments and ways of “addressing/limiting foreigners” are the same low class, ill-informed, low information things that that a rural bumpkin would say, based on outdated, ill-informed stereotypes that aren’t even true. I sometimes wonder why you even bother staying in California ,versus moving to a place like West Virginia.

Gaining too much weight (especially drastically yo-yo-ing with one’s weight) is inimical to holding the position of Miss Universe . . . or the post of any organized pageant winner, for that matter.

Again, Machado claims she was “humiliated” 20 years ago by DJT, yet when CNN’s Cooper brought up her criminal behavior 10-15 years ago, she stated that was too long ago and so essentially she shouldn’t be judged on it today and that her life is “clear” now. She also reminded Cooper that she had been Miss Universe 20 years ago and she no longer holds that title (implying that this portion of her life was dead and buried). Yet, she came up with these made-up comments from Trump 20 years ago as if she has been emotionally damaged from them all of her life. She isn’t the least bit credible.
I think you would have to agree that her statute of limitations for bringing these accusations forward (well-timed by the Clinton campaign 5 weeks before the general election) has long ago expired.
And Clinton is far from my idol. Another of your outright lies absent any evidence.
Nobody stated that she was. This comment was directed to your tagalong sidekick, flu, et al.

I have no idea how you come up with this stuff since I don’t have any posts on this board fitting the description of any of your outrageous claims of who you think I am. That is, when you’re not on here bragging about yourself and your accomplishments ad nauseam.
And btw, I don’t know if you were referring to me but you should know that I have no financial difficulties. Thanks for your concern, anyway.
Nor do I have any “ax to grind.” Do you?? It appears to me that you have had a big chip on your shoulder the past couple of years or so. And I’m not sure why.
You are certainly free to pick your “lesser of the two evils” candidate when you cast your vote. Nobody will stop you. And everyone else is free to pick their candidate. That doesn’t make them “racist,” “facist” (that comment is attributed to YOU, SK), “xenophobic,” thumbing their nose at Asians, or a “country bumpkin.”
Your perception of “Trump supporters” pidgeonholed into your three neat little boxes is not only beyond ignorant, this attitude is going to severely limit you in your life going forward, imho. Your perception does not in any way, shape or form represent reality but it is definitely all on you.
Thanks for posting. I am now more “enlightened.” :=0

He STILL hasn’t denied it. He did it. The evidence is overwhelming he’s done it. He’s said dozens of similar things about other women. There is a pattern.
I’m insulting you based on the exact words you’ve said here. If they’re not representative of you, then you’ve had ample chance to change your opinions. You haven’t. You’ve just dug in.
There was no criminal behavior. Nor is it the least bit pertinent. (Maybe you can explain why it should be pertinent?) Again, you’re blaming her for Trump humiliating her. And you’re calling her a liar, absent a single shred of evidence that she’s lied. Yet you have no problem voting for someone that fact checkers, in some cases, have found that he lies more often than telling the truth.
Trump is running for President. You’re holding shit against Clinton that happened 20 years ago and longer. Yet you think stuff that Trump did during the same period isn’t important?
And this is personal to me. Trump is unquestionably the most dangerous presidential candidate from a major party in 3 generations at least. Thankfully, he has almost no chance of winning.
September 30, 2016 at 9:39 PM #801701bearishgurlParticipantSK, you must be aware that Machado, by virtue of her vitriolic attack on a US presidential candidate just ~44 days before the general election and just 45 days after she herself became a US citizen is fair game. She is a 39-year old adult who put herself out there! The fact that she did it at the behest of the Clinton campaign is irrelevant to whether her “testimony” about her experience with DJT ~20 years ago is credible . . . or not. Her words will be judged against her demeanor, any video and print “evidence” out there to corroborate her story or past history and her own track record. She has no protection and the Clinton campaign certainly can’t offer her any.
If she can’t take the heat that SHE created, she should have never walked into the kitchen to begin with. When you make a Faustian deal with the devil, sometimes you end up inadvertently selling your soul. Just ask your candidate, HRC.

Wrong answer. What I asked is why it’s pertinent. Trump humiliated her. His response is to attempt to humiliate her again. Any decent human being would apologize. But then, based on his response, and yours, neither of you are decent human beings. There’s no reason to dispute it based on me not knowing you. You’ve told us who you are. You think it’s ok for men to humiliate women, and then humiliate them again when their called on it.
And you really shouldn’t use phrases you don’t understand. There was nothing that fits the definition of a faustian bargain in your candidates horrendous behavior.

I’m pretty sure there’s no higher form of beauty in the universe than the earthling Latina.
So I’ll state the obvious: Trump allowed himself to get dragged down into a discussion about the weight and personal life of a has-been beauty pageant contestant. If that doesn’t disqualify him from being a serious candidate, nothing can. His supporters went right there with them.
We have someone writing multiple paragraphs on this very thread discussing with all seriousness this woman who is about as relevant to the American presidency as my dog. And I’ll bet we’ll get many more paragraphs…

She’s the one who came out of the woodwork and publicly and viciously attacked Trump out of the blue after ~20 years. She never indicated back in 1997 that she was displeased with Trump’s treatment of her. She actually accepted his gracious gift of gym memberships and trainers to help her get back in shape at the time.
The “Faustian bargain” refers to the several that HRC made with her so-called “spouse” over the years. Certainly, you knew that. But maybe not. Maybe you’re not as smart as I originally thought you were, SK.

One of my very first sentences about this issue today is that I didn’t understand why this “has-been” (apt description) was able to capture the attention of the MSM for FOUR WHOLE BUSINESS DAYS. You know the liberal noobs over at MSNBC love to make fun of Donald … especially when the news cycle is “slow.” Not that the Donald gives a whit.
I agree. Machado should have disappeared into oblivion after her first 14.99 minutes of fame were up.
October 1, 2016 at 2:58 AM #801708FlyerInHiGuestBearishgurl, you’ve been very bullish about California real estate so I wondered about your name. Are you bearish about the state of the country and waiting for Trump to fix things? But if the country needs Trump but doesn’t get him, then what happens to real estate?
Back to Machado. As I suspected, there is no weight clause in the miss universe contract. And if there were, it would likely be unenforceable, and very bad public relations for the pageant. They do not want to go there.
Follow the link for a PDF of a contract. Maybe the contract was different a decade before 2008; but I believe the country pretty much abandoned body weight standards by the late 1970s.
