Walmart in Carlsbad? Impact on Housing value?

I’m wondering if the proposed Walmart at the corner of College and Camino Real will have any impact on local housing values?

I personally wouldn’t want one close by.

I once considered Carlsbad a very nice place, but it looks like it is becoming just another over-developed, bland, strip mall laden community.

lol, they are probably the type of people that cheers when they open a costco but jeers when they open a walmart. Same sh&t different store.

I bet youd rather have a costco close by than walmart. Am I correct?

Strange! There are two (or three?) Walmarts in Oceanside, one in Vista, (and a Sams Club too) a Costco in Carlsbad and Vista already. How many superstores are needed to serve the area?

You need to find out when your Carlsbad city council next meets, and go down there and tell them you don’t want it. Take your friends and family with you.

Before you go, try to find out what Walmart is kicking back to the city of Carlsbad as incentives.

I don’t understand why so many ppl hate walmart. This is likely another way shop-owners want to get rid of their competitors that sell products at reasonable price.

I saw a write up about this week or two ago. It is actually supposed to be a new upscale concept store that Wal Mart is testing. Not sure what that means though…………
