Torrey Ranch

Curious as to whether anyone has seen or would care to share opinions on Torrey Ranch, a new development off Camino Del Sur from DR Horton? I am somewhat but not totally familiar with that area.

They are just west of Westview High School and it appears they are cramming a lot of houses in a small space. Also have high HOA (for the fact that there are no amenities) and high Mello Roos (but that’s normal for the area). Other than that, they seem like they will be nice.

Anyone have any thoughts on those?

They’ll be nice but I think the MR may be even higher than 4S Ranch.

For the same price personally I’d just get a house in 4S Ranch. Slightly lower fees, more walkability, more stores. That’s just me though, to each his own. Good luck.

The houses in torrey ranch are right next to each other. I don’t understand why they call it detached SFH. It is like a town house, with a tiny quarter yard. I think D.R. Horton is just being too greedy by squeezing so many houses into a small land. Not to mention high Mello Roos and HOA (>$500 per month). Highlands village in CV is a much better deal in my opinion

Consider the possibility that DRH is trying to build something more affordable. I’m sure you can find something with more land but it will probably cost you more.
