Drugs have no appeal to me whatsoever. Generically, drug addicts are unhappy with their existences and seek to escape reality through artificial means. I quite enjoy my real life and have no interest in “escaping” it.

I’ve never had an illegal drug, including pot, although I support the legalization of all drugs. I didn’t start drinking until I was 34, and do occasionally like to have a few beers. I’ve never been shitfaced. But getting a moderate buzz going in the presence of entertaining company is one of life’s pleasures. Moderation in all things. Including moderation.

the only reasonable philosophy is one of pessimism; a stoic acceptance of decay, that things will fall apart, and attempting to live a decent life in spite of impending chaos. True there is no meaning to it, other than that we should be able to tell a good story about ourselves. That’s all that lfie is; a story we tell about ourself. there is no real meaning to be gained from others, but having others around can teach youa few things.
