ParticipantI guess the fire is a blessing in disguise. The destruction will keep the contractors busy for a while. Oh well, I’ll have wait longer for the improvement I want (if my house doesn’t burn down also).

ParticipantWhen the local builders (Hallmark, Stonefield, etc.) offered to rebuild Scripps Ranch by giving homeowners a fixed price based on established floorplans, it became such a headache that no one made any money.
You won’t see any builders step up and offer that again.
