    Update time!

    Nice catch on the trend vis a vis last year LAR.

    Short sales 6,798 up from 6,642.

    Countywide we are at 17,539 up from 17,534 essentially flat again from last week.

    When does the fun begin………….

    Figures for the last 3 weeks – no striking changes in the ongoing pattern. Short sales increasing faster than total listings, both of which are higher than this time last year.

    Figures – finally something a little different to look at. This is the first week since sdr started posting these data that the percent change in short sales was less than the percent change in total listings (not the first time it decreased though). Also interesting is the similarity in the trends year to year – this year just has higher numbers.
