Participantyeah, but those godforsaken places in the middle of nowhere, the sticks literally, are worth nothing to begin with. Even at $90/sqft I am surely not interested.

Don’t worry it will be at $60/sqft soon…then it would be a good rental property if you could rent it at $1500/month. Is San Jacinto is any better than Hemet? I been to Hemet once, and that’s one too many.

ParticipantBy IE standards the San Jacinto/Hemet areas are not bad. The real problem with that area is it’s distance to employment, although it’s better there than the desert areas.
More important is the fact that these prices are a harbinger of what’s coming to the more desirable areas of S/W Riverside County. Think about the possibility of buying an average quality home in Temecula at $90/SqFt. We’re only 20 miles away from that happening right now.

ParticipantWhat will happen to Hemet/San Jacinto area, if Temecula goes to $90/sqft? This is too scary, I don’t even want to face it.
