Do you like the house a lot? Would you be interested in buying it at the Trustee Sale? Maybe you could contact the lender directly and let them know you’re interested.

He’s asked probably five times since we moved in. We have no idea what’s going on with this guy. It’s so weird, he fixed the pool and put in crown molding and painted the house just a few months ago. Why would he do all that and then stop paying the mortgage? And why would he not give us a copy of the lease? We knew this was a sketchy situation going in because the landlord is such a huge flake. We were figuring that something like this might happen, but we liked the house so much we thought we’d chance it. Where are we legally with no copy of the lease?
