Aw, heck, surveyor, quit using logic and pointing out the inconsistencies in cyphire’s statements. That’s not ‘fair.’

Did you want to do away with “government” just like Rwanda? Why don’t you just go to Rwanda or the former Afghanistan where tribal warloards ruled the day?
Government is very bad – that is the mantra of neocons who are currently sitting on the high levels of government who were voted by jg, surveyor, and their ilk. Yes, you do deserve the government that you elected.

(in debate, this is known as the straw man argument, where instead of arguing the issue, a distortion, exaggeration, or misrepresentation is given. this is generally seen as a weak response.)
I didn’t advocate doing away with government. I just believe in not giving it more money, for the reasons outlined above.

June 20, 2007 at 6:56 PM #60874drunkleParticipantof course, your argument assumes that the govt is currently receiving enough money to reasonably deal with the problems.
the deficit says otherwise. per capita expenditures say otherwise.
as for private institutions, i just watched sicko. interesting stuff if true.

June 20, 2007 at 6:56 PM #60876Nancy_s soothsayerParticipantSurveyor,
Whether your government has little money or huge borrowed money like you have now, it makes no difference if you keep voting for the neocons who are in power now. The neocons wastes ALL the money for stupid things like war in Iraq.June 20, 2007 at 6:56 PM #60911Nancy_s soothsayerParticipantSurveyor,

So, ok, I advocate NOT giving the gov’t more money because it will not spend it well. And your response is that the “neocons” will waste the money for stupid things like war in Iraq.
So doesn’t your response actually reinforce my statement?
Just a thought.

June 20, 2007 at 8:55 PM #60890AnonymousGuestsurveyor, again, that’s not ‘fair,’ using logic and folks’ own statements to make your points.
You’re putting dents in a lot of self esteem today, sir.
