Good question, bubblesitter. Wish we had a crystal ball.
One thing I’ve been very wrong on this past decade was interest rates. Everything says rates should be going up (should have been since 2008), but they are stomping on the gas pedal in an effort to keep rates this low. My decision over the past couple of years to hold cash hasn’t really worked very well for us, that’s for sure.
Maybe high dividend paying stocks? Those have had a pretty good run, though. Maybe RE, but there are so many potential headwinds pushing against it.
This is a very sucky time to be an investor!
