Coop,
No doubt that a proper business model and strategy is paramount to a successful RETAIL business, and I agree, for P1 and Circuit City and others this will be a partial cause of their demise… along with a sharp decline in consumer spending….that always tips the scales and exposes what lies beneath…..
In the meantime, those whose ladies wear panties and like decorative household trinkets…you know where the sales are at now…..happy shopping….
Sincerely, Contraman

January 2, 2008 at 3:39 PM #127908CoronitaParticipantMacy was running 20% off coupon deals on everything in stores, including Coach handbags. In the past, they were excluded. Coach obviously wasn't happy, as it cut into their own sales. If coach were smart they would drop macy from the seller's list next time.
There were other designer stores that were offering unheard of discounts.
Also the day after Christmas at South Coast Plaze, unlike other years, wasn't too bad. It wasn't that crowded
Interesting that other stores like Home Depot, Sears and the like started discounting all their Christmas ornaments 3-4 days BEFORE Christmas as opposed to days after christmas.

I am curious what those items are (you can remain silent if it is related to unmentionables!)
