There’s a reason why it’s cheap.
And I don’t stay indoors in winter. It’s a lot easier to put on an extra layer than get nakeder than naked. And besides, seeing most Vegans naked would be harmful to eye health 🙂
June 24, 2015 at 2:18 PM #787484FlyerInHiGuestLow cost of living is good for savings and discretionary income, if ion make the same money.
That’s the selling of commuting from Temecula to San Diego.
You have to make choices based on limited financial resources.June 24, 2015 at 2:21 PM #787485spdrunParticipantIf you’re working 10 hours a day and commuting 4 hours round trip, that’s not living. That’s slow suicide.
June 24, 2015 at 2:24 PM #787486FlyerInHiGuestPeople pick their own poison based on their own risk assessments
June 24, 2015 at 2:27 PM #787487spdrunParticipantThe “every choice is as good as any other choice” argument is fallacious. I mean, some people choose to shoot heroin or smoke crack due to their risk assessments.
June 24, 2015 at 2:32 PM #787488FlyerInHiGuestyeah, but business people don’t care. They will sell the goods customes demand.
I’m not in love with Vegas so I’ve settled for financial reasons but it’s not a bad compromise. Almost for free, I get to experience things that millions of people save up for.
I was talking to a cox cable rep in Kansas City. She’s been to Vegas once as a child. Would love to return on vacation one day. 44 million people made the trip last year. If you believe in the free market, then the data speaks for itself.
June 24, 2015 at 2:40 PM #787489spdrunParticipantWhat % of those visitors went by choice vs due to business conventions or for business in the “city?”
I don’t really believe in the free market — most of the world’s population are sheep.

EDC was in Vegas this past weekend. That resulted in more than an extra 200,000 very excited people coming, not all of whom attended the actual events.
Sheep or not, if you’re in business you want to take advantage of what people are buying and selling. That’s how you get your share of the economic pie. Kirk Kerkorian just died at 98. He was very good at it.

I got caught up in that EDC goofiness.
But I do like the old Kraftwerk stuff:
Interpol and Deutsche Bank
Business, numbers, money, people
Computer worldJune 25, 2015 at 9:14 AM #787510FlyerInHiGuestIm driving to Vegas today with a load of furniture from crate barrel fort furnished rental. Just stopped in canyon lake near lake Elsinore to buy something off of CL. It’s an enclave of custom homes on the lake.
The guy lives in big house full of junk. Garage is packed with no room to park. He didn’t tell me but I think he’s in law enforcement.Anyway he used to live in San Diego and wishes he could get back down. Went to San Diego State then got a job in OC. Now commutes to Chino, 45 min one way (more like an hour because people normally understate and don’t count the time it take to get to the freeway). Not thrilled about the commute, wishes he could live in San Diego. Basically stuck in a big house in the middle of nowhere.
Question is why get a big house in a gated community and commute such a long way when a townhouse or condo would do? Keep the smaller home clean, tidy and airy and there’s plenty of room.

June 25, 2015 at 10:11 AM #787513The-ShovelerParticipantin the 70’s you could let your kids play outside unattended and not get arrested LOL.
