In the South Bay, you live in a different world than most of us. While I dont personally believe in it, CAR homeschools her kids and WAS a public school teacher. C’Bad homeschools her kids and I have no doubt she is capable of doing so.August 20, 2010 at 10:41 AM #594050sdrealtorParticipantBG

(South Bay) is NOT a “different world” than San Diego Co. (North County) or “NCC.”
I never stated that Piggs who “homeschool” are unqualified to do so. I stated that “I” am unqualified to do so and I feel that parents with limited education themselves should not attempt to do so. I do not really know the educational levels of CAR and C’Bad. Do you, sdr?? Why don’t you let these adults speak for themselves, if they wish to?
Back to the topic at hand, I NEVER stated anywhere here that TV was not a good place to live. What I stated was that those TV residents with a family who work out-of-county ARE VOLUNTARILY SACRIFICING their precious time commuting. With the cost of the annual water/sewer utility bonds and MR (described here by TG and Ren) thrown into the mix and multiplied over the life of the bonds as well as the extra monthly gasoline cost, I just wonder if the SD, OC and LA workers who CHOOSE to purchase their residence in TV are actually really saving any $$ on housing by situating their families there (which was the most oft-stated reason for buying there, in the first place).

August 20, 2010 at 1:55 PM #594041sdrealtorParticipantListening to your viewpoints on life the last few months its pretty safe to say we live in very different worlds and look at things very differently.
As for homeschooling, its not my cup o tea either but you came down vary hard on it in many ways multiple times. You are moonwalking now. And yes I have met both CAR and C’Bad and have a good idea of their educational levels.
As for TV living, there is more to the money than the money. Some people cant afford to live in the kind of community they want to in SD so they are willing to sacrifice “their precious time” to provide the precious lifestyle they want for their families. It goes well beyond the walls of one’s home and extends to the people they live around also. In my eyes its a pretty noble sacrifice to make.
