[quote=mydogsarelazy]We live in Murrieta — we moved here from Temecula in 2004 — and you certainly can get some deals now. How about Harveston?
If you move here, just don’t say things like “We are very excited by the Obama Presidency” and you may make a few friends.
Another comment not to make “Isn’t it great that there is a bigger mosque being planned?”
Or how about “That Glenn Beck, is he insane?”
Or you could try “My partner and I are thinking of adopting another baby from Haiti.”
On the subtle side “Chelsea Clinton looked so happy in the wedding photos.”
On a serious note, I have a daughter who cannot play with one of her best friends anymore because his parents decided that we are “too liberal.” Sad.

It’s the same difference in Carlsbad.
I have a friend who lives in La Costa Oaks (or La Costa Valley, whatever that is) and they tell me the same thing.
Of course the people in Carlsbad are more subtle.
However, there are no monster trucks and rednecks in Carlsbad.

August 5, 2010 at 9:49 PM #587227sdrealtorParticipantFunny I live here Brian and frankly you dont know what you are talking about. I have neighbors that are dosmetic partners (no one cares), interacial marriages (no one cares), both right wing conservatives and tie dyed liberals (no one cares or stops their kids form playing together), my kids have friends of all races, cultures, religions and ethinicities (no one cares). Sure there are a few strabge birds here but for the most part I find this place about as open minded a place as I’ve ever been for an upper middle class area. The only thing people fight around here are things that will bring more traffic, higher density living or damage to the environment. And we defintely have monster trucks and rednecks around here.

An August Surprise from Obama?
Main Street may be about to get its own gigantic bailout. Rumors are running wild from Washington to Wall Street that the Obama administration is about to order government-controlled lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to forgive a portion of the mortgage debt of millions of Americans who owe more than what their homes are worth. An estimated 15 million U.S. mortgages – one in five – are underwater with negative equity of some $800 billion.
