My real dad was poor and stupid he was well educated.
My friend's dad was smart and rich and didn't go to college.College is for losers, you don't need college. Pay $899 and I'll teach you how to be rich with my education.
(once at his seminar)...think out of the box...If you want to know how, pay $899 for my second seminar....
(once at his second seminar)...buy real estate with no money down... If you want to know how, pay $899 for my third seminar....
and so forth...
(No I never paid for his seminars. I was stupid enough to buy his first book. But when I was done, I promptly returned it for a full refund from Barnes and Noble...) You see, his book taught me something useful after all... How to get something for nothing!
I should write a lifehack book on how you can use the generous return policies in the US to freeload off of things...
Life hack #231...Buy lots of annual flowers from Home Depot and plant them in the front yard so that your house looks very nice from the curb for rental prospects...After the a tenant signs the lease...Dig up the annual flowers dig them back up and put them back into the containers, and then return them to home depot....And then keep your original receipt and report it as a cost against your operating income for that rental property......
I'M KIDDING..... Not worth my time or effort, though in theory, once could do it...Bad karma..but...

NOT true…. That depends which Vanguard Target Retirement (Date) fund you chose!
If you picked Vanguard Target Retirement 2060, you too are a youngster!
If on the other hand, you’re camping out in Vanguard Target Retirement 2020 or 2025 or *shudder* Target Retirement Income *shudder…Stick a fork in it!!!
Oh wait….

My mother once called to register for a course on how to save money and she started negotiating with them for a discount on the price of the course. They told her she didnt need the course and maybe could be one of the teachers

Heh. I did something similar when selling a house one time. I bought a bunch of plastic flowers and inserted them in the front yard plants, since it was off-season and they weren’t blooming.
I’ve always wondered how long it took the new owner to figure out that the flowers were plastic.

Dammit. The dumbest thing anyone can do is take investment advice from me.
I never offer people I know my thoughts for fear they might act on it and silently blame me later.
I thought you had more sense than to listen to me, flu.
I was thinking this is more like a 10 year buy and hold. It could easily sink 25 perc. By fall. I definitely wouldn’t hold money I needed soon in there.
Still, it doesn’t seem like the worst thing to hold.

You know we’re in an stock market bubble when people are desperate enough and invest in something based on the whim of what gets posted on a blog….

I don’t actually believe it’s a good idea. Just better than doing nothing.
