What a waste of money, to buy a gun to commit suicide.
Is there a gun rental service, preferably one that delivers?
Good business idea? Might be some legal issues. But demand might be increasing. I see a big future in despair and death.
Millennials don’t want to own shit, like cars, etc. Why not guns? Just use as necessary.

I really would rather just live than fail at a gun suicide. I’ve always thought it’d be best to be on a raft far fr shore, tie a weight on you, shoot raft, shoot self.
Of course,. I could have a change of heart between the raft shooting and the suicide.
Dammit. Maybe shoot self off the golden gate bridge?
I think at the end of the day suicides just not for me.
New miatas are cheap. Softtop cheaper than hardtop. The other thing is, if you don’t care, you don’t need to get a manual transmission. Automatics are more reliable than manual in this generation. They don’t break.
Added bonus of miatas. Sorry, I can’t pick you up and take your friends… Only 2 seats…sorry
Also funner car than minis imho.
One other problem. If your taller than 6′, may not be a car for you…it won’t be comfortable.
69.5 inches. Very slender. Fuck it, maybe I should go get one.
Could be 69 or 70 inches. So much depends on posture
Should work… I’m 71 inches. The only issue is when I wear a helmet, top of my head rubs against closed roof. Sometimes. You won’t have a problem.
2019+ has adjustable steering wheel, so that helps. If you need to reduce the seat height, Aurora Auto Design has a seat bracket that can drop the height down by 1.1 inches (it’s usually used for taller people with helmets to pass the “broomstick test”.)Aurora Auto Design Low Profile Driver Seat Mount – ND Miata / Fiat 124
Have not needed to do this, since when I race, I just leave the top open, even if it’s raining…

Not legal i think. I was pulled over once for doing this…Long story…Didn’t have time to exit race, change, and take kid to a basketball game i was coaching…
Was annoyed because friends with catfish miata with no windshield never had that issue.

I’ll do some research on that.

The OP is very bright guy, certainly far smarter than I about financial markets. But one thing I’ve learned is that “being right” is not always being “right”. You can concoct a chain of thought that makes all the sense in the world to you and others while being dead wrong. More than anything I’d love to hear from him where he got this so wrong. He gave himself an extension on his original post until the y/e so that is unlikely to come anytime soon. At the same time much of what he was so certain of (1/3 of business gone by 12/20) has not come to pass so parts could be disected already. I think its a good opportunity to learn
Oh and cute bromance guys piling on together
We already know where he got it wrong. He miscalculated the power and ability of the Fed to double down on the kitchen sink support i.e. BUY EVERYTHING. But the final chapter has yet to be written. Maybe we will re-visit this thread in 15 years and see what happened.
In the long run we are all dead and Im not so sure I’ll be here in 15.
Enjoy me while I last!
I’ll agree with you there, gotta live in the moment. All of our various predictions are pointless because death is the only certainty. I for one hope you are still around in 15 years though.

Ok. Good to know. In case I ever want to pretend to be THE STIG and wear my helmet while driving, glad that it will be legal. Besides, it’s ok. I got stopped for bullshit that time, at another time in my more youthful stupid days…I got stopped on I-5 going 97 early in the morning when there was no cars and was let off with a warning. So it evens out.
One thing to note. In case you are serious about getting an ND miata or Fiat 124 and were remotely serious about wearing a helmet…fun fact… The stock seats that come with the car don’t really work well with a driver wearing a helmet…
The bucket seat has an integrated, non-adjustable headrest that bulges forward so your un-helmeted head rests on… This design protects your head in case of a rear and collision on the street, so you don’t get whiplash…
Unfortunately, while this design is good for an unhelmeted head, it’s terrible if you wear a helmet, because that headrest bulge pushes your helmeted head forward a bit…So instead of looking straight forward, your head is pointed slightly downward by a few degrees. Beside it not being natural, for something like an autocross it totally messes up your long distance view since you’ll have a tendency to look right in front of you instead the longer distance you should be looking at. You’ll need to make a minor seat adjustment by slightly reclining the seat so your head is angled correctly again. Unfortunately, in a miata if you’re tall that means slightly moving your seat forward by an inch or two… Because if you put your seat all the back, you won’t be able to recline the seat enough to correct for the helmet angle.
The other annoying thing about the ND miata for passengers is the passenger footwell is a lot smaller than normal because their a protuding bulge coming out of the left side where they stuck the radio’s amplifier. Not sure why they put it there. Anyway, another reason not to take a passenger.
June 3, 2021 at 10:20 PM #822020scaredyclassicParticipantI barely wear a helmet on my bicycle. Although I did fall last year and bonked my head, with a helmet. So I have been wearing it more often. I’m not persuaded helmets are good overall.

if your car has a full cage rollbar, you probably want to wear a helmet. otherwise if someone accidentally collides into you while driving on the street , your skull and a metal rollbar….things wont end up too well for your skull.
Besides, Scotty Kilmer says yes!
June 4, 2021 at 7:53 PM #822023scaredyclassicParticipantReally racking up mileage on the ebike w no car. At 7350 miles. Curious to see how long the Bosch motor and battery can make it. Will need to not have a car to keep miles up.
Battery seems to have lost about 20 perc. Capacity.

Too easy….Miata is still the answer…
You can put a hiddden trailer hitch on a miata to carry a bike rack or in my case an extra set wheels and tires on a dolley
