After 2 years sitting in cash with my IRA feeling like I missed the boat trying to time the ups and downs, today I finally waded back in with 20% back in the equity markets.

She’s intelligent, logical, and willing to go all-out when trying to learn new things. Some people were giving her grief because she was asking for information that was well-known by some of the old-timers (showing her lack of experience and prior knowledge), but she caught up with, and moved beyond what many of the old-timers knew.
I’d like to congratulate her (if she can even lurk here anymore…or wants to) on her willingness to make these bold predictions. She was right.

Timing is everything. What if she had options that expired in Spring ’07 ? Then “sorta wrong” is “really wrong.”
Bad timing is only redeemed by holding onto those shorts when the first prediction proves bad.
The question is – did she hang on to those shorts for the extra 18 months? I’d bet she did. She was stubborn enough to.
