Hey Brian. How do you feel about Muslims and Uighur in Xinjiang? Pretty Trumpish of the Chinese government, right? Isn’t the government in China great or what??? Pom-poms cheer… Go Brian Go!
I don’t hear any Trump supporters wanting to go to war to defend Muslims.
it’s like Fox News, not blaming Trump, who is in power, for doing nothing about it, but making it the Democrats’ responsibility.
If you care so much, do something about it yourself first. Stop deflecting and assigning blame. Remember personal responsibility as a core value?
July 15, 2019 at 12:13 PM #813044FlyerInHiGuest

A junior diplomat posted to a shithole country.
And what did Trump tweet recently?
Ah, so then you are ok with this in China…And you are a racist, as I previously suspected…. Thanks for confirming it….
Flu, are you aware that you’re deflecting, the same as the Chinese diplomat?
The conversation here is about the USA. suddenly, you post about China. But yeah, China has awesome infrastructure that we don’t have. What wrong with admiring what they have built? The worst part is that we could have build better, but we stupidly chose not to… so our loss.
And so much about personal responsibility, flu. According to you, Trump was caused by “crazy” democrats? How about he was elected by deplorable Americans?

And both of those parties are throwing out the moderates. That’s why the number of folks registering as undeclared are growing. I’ve been that way since I started to vote. Glad to see many are joining me.
I don’t know where you get the both-parties-symmetry idea.
Here’s the data for you. From the article you can link to the analysis of the party platforms.

what is it?
seems like its been troubling men here since at least the 70s.
its a shifting thing, what makes a Man. changing over tome.
war seemed so clearly stupid in the 70s. why were we in vietnam. why would any sane person sign up to die for no reason.
trump had it right there.
iron john by robert bly.
i dont know anymore.
i know ive never felt like a man, just a teen pretending to be a man.
July 16, 2019 at 8:22 AM #813049scaredyclassicParticipantwhat happened?
when did it turn?
seems ez to say soyboys wouldnt fight. but is it manly to fight in ridiculous wars? e en the purported soyboys would probably fight in an existential war. but do those even exist anymore, at least where boots on the ground are needed.
still i wonder would i feel like a man had i been in the military.
would i feel like a man if i wasnt so damn educated. do these liberal arts schools suck the manhood out of you?
cant just be me or superpopular sotes like theartofmanliness wouldnt exidt
July 16, 2019 at 9:24 AM #813050FlyerInHiGuestAh, scaredy, you identified what makes American men insecure.
Real “men” should be secure in their own skin and they would not hate soyboys. Why do they hate? Because they are aging and are getting weak. They are worried that soyboys are onto something that they are being left out of.
I know that I am healthier and have more endurance than my college friends who didn’t change their life habits. I eat tofu all the time. In fact, I love to order mixed veggies or fresh ginger with tofu at the Thai restaurant. I ask them to make it less salty so I don’t consume too much high blood pressure inducing sodium Plain food is actually delicious because you can taste the natural flavors of the ingredients.
If you watch old movies, you will notice that the urbane sophisticated person was admired through the 1960s. The Kennedys represented sophistication. Nixon and Reagan represented the ordinary blue collar guys. Obama is the educated new economy and the future. Trump is “we want our America back.”
soyboys will win in the end. Brains over brawn. A soyboy actually has more endurance/brawn (long term strength) than a football player. The soyboy will also live longer.
July 16, 2019 at 10:29 AM #813051The-ShovelerParticipantI don’t want to get into this whole soyboy debate.
But generally if you lose weight you lose muscle mass
“A person who is attempting to lose weight by not eating may lose weight in muscle first before fat.”
July 16, 2019 at 10:44 AM #813052HobieParticipant‘Soyboy’ is a polite way of referring to the ‘pussification’ of America.
Nobody cares what you eat nor if you ride; Bears, babes, or bikes.

If you wanna feel manly go hiking with your wife or woman friend and keep up.
My wife picked up hiking and without any training did 6-10 mile “moderate” rated trails every single day for like a month. I can easily run and jump circles around her but endurance wise it is no contest. She and her woman friends try to drag me along to hike but I can only do every other day at the most ( without whining about sore muscles and aching knees.)July 16, 2019 at 2:28 PM #813054scaredyclassicParticipantStill, I do not feel like a man. I don’t know if I ever will. Im pretty sure my wife doesn’t think Im a “real man” like her Dad. You can be strong, a decent enough lover, a steady earner, a good parent, and so forth, but I’m still not just a man, not the way her dad, or my dad was. Of course, a real man probably couldn’t stay married to her for a month. There are just so many different expectations nowadays that the type of person I and she think of as a real man probably wouldn’t make it with a modern woman in a longterm relationship. I’m not sure what I mean by this exactly, but I am definitely not confident that I am a man, in spite of my reproductive and career successes.
real men are in my mind not as malleable and adaptable…less emotional. im kind of joking…but maybe im not…
how can i be a real man when frankly i have no idea what that would be.
you see girls walking around with those THE FUTURE IS FEMALE shirts.
they might be rightJuly 16, 2019 at 6:05 PM #813055FlyerInHiGuest

Hey Brian. How do you feel about Muslims and Uighur in Xinjiang? Pretty Trumpish of the Chinese government, right? Isn’t the government in China great or what??? Pom-poms cheer… Go Brian Go!

Thinking about this further, I think US consulates in China should issue as many travel Visas to Uighurs as possible. Give asylum to all who come to the US. Are you happy with my liberal answer now?
There are lots of Muslims suffering authoritarian oppression around the world. We could make a positive difference by welcoming people here.
July 16, 2019 at 10:52 PM #813056scaredyclassicParticipanti wonder if ross perot worried about being manly.
from ny times.
Speaking to a crowd of 3,000 people at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock, Perot called the presidency “a dirty, thankless, brutal job.”
It was a task he did not relish, he maintained.
“If we’re at that point in our history, I’m ready to climb in the ring as long as you’re there with me,” he said. “It’s not going to be much of a place for sissies, though, to get from where we are to where we’re going. I’ll tell you that straight out.”
no sissies? but half of america are sissies. maybe more…
also perot apparently called bushs manhood into question for fighting in iraq.
NEWS
PEROT VS. BUSH: CAMPAIGN OF VENDETTA
By Eleanor Clift On 6/14/92 at 8:00 PM EDT
NEWSRoss Perot denies any personal animosity toward George Bush. “Nice man, nice family,” he chirps, with all the enthusiasm he might use to compliment the cut of Bush’s golf pants. Privately, Perot has told friends that Bush is “whiny and hand-wringing.” Perot, an expert needler, knows how to get the president’s goat. At a rally last month in Little Rock, Ark., Perot declared, “I don’t have to prove my manhood by sending anybody to war.” The remark, predictably, set off a seismic reaction in the White House. “The president is ready to deck him,” says a campaign aide.
Where does this guy get off?”
perot also claimed he was manly for not using bodyguards at public appearances. pretty crazy, if true
nytimes, with dated musings on perots height and manhood…he was just a little guy…five foot five…small 4 president.
ultimately he dropped out of the race because he said republican tricksters wrre going embarrass his daughter by publishing fake photos showing she was a lesbian?!!
the more i read and recall about him, the more i love him! id vote ross..
question:
what are the differences, if any, between between a sissy, a fairy, a soyboy, a faggot, an effete intellectual and a weenie?
im ok with being called an effete intellectual, but object to the other terms.
in other news, biden challenged trump to a pushup contest. i guess things dont change
July 17, 2019 at 12:17 AM #813057temeculaguyParticipantScaredy, glad to see your independent research led you to the conclusion that Perot was not a bad guy.
Brian, seriously your bias goes beyond myopia, Perot was a war monger? Why because he went to the naval academy? arguing with you is pointless, Oh and Ken of John and Ken is gay, both are independents, it’s hardly right wing radio.
FLU, I’m with you, Team Pelosi!! She’s from one of the most liberal districts on the planet and even she’s sick of the 4 radicals. I think you are right, there may be a splinter, the moderate democrats and moderate republicans could form a new moderate party. I’ve been in it most of my life but it never had a name or a convention. That’s really what Ross represented for me, he was the most legitimate 3rd party candidate I had ever seen. But it slipped away.
California already has the splinter going right now, they have three parties in state politics, the republicans, the progressives and the “mods.” Today the Mods are moderate democrats but that could change. It reminds me of the UK, or all the other first world countries for that matter. Maybe Ross’ legacy will come to pass.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ruling_political_parties_by_country
Of the 20 or so countries with only 2 parties, other than us, it’s mostly islands and 3rd world countries.
July 17, 2019 at 7:08 AM #813058scaredyclassicParticipanti like short scrappy guys. at 5’9, and skinny, ive always felt smaller than a real man. so my vote would, after green oarty, go 4 the little guy.
