ParticipantIt has to be a combination of genetics, exercise and food, all of which can be balanced out.
I don’t know why you point out “ethnic” food as the root cause when it’s the “American” diet that has warped traditional ethnic cuisine into a starch and fat wasteland. That’s why I won’t go to PF Chang’s with a 10 foot pole.

ParticipantYou picked a good place to have a heart problem. LV is loaded with good cardiologists, because there is such a demand, (for various reasons!). Glad everything went well for you. If you would like some authentic Mexican seafood and other healthy alternatives, try La Especial on 101 in Leucadia.

GuestAlthough I enjoy it, authentic Mexican cooking isn’t that healthy. Lard is used in a lot of the dishes including the tortillas. I’m sure the larger chain restaurants cook healthier since they cater to a more diverse population.
