because we are living in a world where there are no fixed monetary standards (all currencies are fiat), I believe we have to think in relative terms when we are planning our long term financial strategy
I prepared the chart as an example – it shows the current Dow rally priced in US $, Euro and gold
the rally is still impressive in Euro terms but look at the rally from a gold bug’s perspective – the Dow dropped 7400 points and has only managed to retrace 23.6% of that decline – not very exciting
I don’t have any answers here – I’m just opening up a topic for discussion
