The topic of recourse vs non-recourse loans during foreclosure has been discussed many times on this forum. But has anyone seen a discussion on what happens if the loan is modified under one of the many govt. programs.
Do all modified loans become recourse, or stay non-recourse if it is a renegotiation of the original purchase mone loan????
