As he always did business, he used leverage which made running a business risky. And Atlantic city is the Detroit of the gambling business. If you there, you’ll see how depressing it it. some of you may think Vegas is depressing…. Well, Atlantic city is much, much worse.I believe Chris Christie lost about $1/2 billion in state money in Atlantic city in several rounds of corporate bailouts that went sour.
March 7, 2016 at 12:09 PM #795405allParticipantI can picture Bill Clinton moving back into the White House. Daddy’s home, b*tches…
March 7, 2016 at 12:15 PM #795406outtamojoParticipantYah I was in Atlantic City last summer – felt like a funeral home. Point I was trying to make was that another poster believed that as soon as Trump became President, he would immediately recognize he was a noob and take time to learn and hire from the more seasoned. Nothing in his past, or his make-up tells me that he would ever admit weakness or subvert his alpha male persona to ever learn from anyone. The Casino fiasco was just more proof (to me) – he wasn’t smart or humble enough to maybe poach a few industry veterans to help with his casinos. Heck, those were the apparently the best of times for the casino industry, I’d hate to see how his businesses fare during the tough times.
March 9, 2016 at 4:27 PM #795505FlyerInHiGuestSounds like a win win for Trump. He will win if he becomes president.
If he losses, he will blame the Republican Party for being unfair to him. He wins.Gotta admire the art of the deal.
I kinda like his hardass attitude. He says that when someone “hits” you, you have to hit back, otherwise, you’re seen as soft and weak.

Yeah, but hitting back is how small disagreements turn into wars.
March 10, 2016 at 6:10 PM #795560joecParticipantProblem on the playground is not hitting back also means you will constantly get bullied too…
Trying to figure this out with my kids at the moment.

March 10, 2016 at 10:55 PM #795567CoronitaParticipantWell, I have to congratulate Trump. He’s managed to undo any sort of progress America has made towards equality.
Welcome back to the 50ies-60ies….

You know the shit is really bad when even Faux News is not spinning this in a positive light.
If what the say is true about “Lead by Example”, we’re really screwed if Donald is President.
I’m sorry to say this, but the GOP deserve to lose the white house in 2016. Any but that would be terribly disappointing.

Sad yes. Imo anytime someone spouts “make America great AGAIN” what they really mean is America was great(er) when ethnic minorities and women could be discriminated against with no recourse.

I’m not sure why we equate illegal immigration with legal immigration. Whom among the working class segment of a America benefits from illegal immigration. Do we really want to open our borders to un-vetted Middle East refugees, more H1-B visas and low skilled Latino workers. What purpose does it serve other than some sort of feel good moral superiority complex. It creates more competition for jobs and lower wages. It doesn’t seem to make much economic sense for the common middle class American.
It’s bad if we assume and treat every Latino person as an illegal, but I don’t see Trump advocating that position.

I am sure Hitler didn’t advocate gassing Jews either.
A president might not directly advocate that position but as a leader, you know targeting Latinos with an outlandish statement that generalizes all in specific ethnicity has huge repercussions.
Would you advocate saying since a lot of murders in Chicago are done by black gang members, that it is OK for a political leader like trump to say, African Americans are not keeping their best in America, blacks are all gang members and drug dealers. So what is the difference?
People keep rationalizing all this ethnic backlash is not Trump’s fault because he isn’t a direct advocate of it. That’s not true. He intentionally stirs the pot to incite racial and cultural tensions. Its no different than someone trying to invite a riot. And we have laws against that too.
I might not be the direct target of Trump’s backlash and his followers, as I am not Latino nor Muslim. But how does the saying go? When the came for the Jews, you did nothing. When the came for the Japs, you did nothing. When the came for the blacks, you did nothing. Now they are coming for you. Do you expect anyone to do anything for you?
March 11, 2016 at 12:02 PM #795585anParticipantVery well said flu. I agree 100%. Drumpf might not be specifically saying that all Latino are illegal, but he did speak in hyperboles, such as “they’re all rapist and drug dealers”. He also say most Muslim hate us. Not to forget he’s also a big birther as well. So, as the saying goes.. if it walk like a duck, quack like a duck, waddle like a duck…
I sincerely hope that if Drumpf win the delegate count, the Republican would run a 3rd party candidate. If they don’t, they would completely lose my trust and respect.
