Realtor Query – Cardiff

A house went up for sale in Cardiff this week on Playa Riviera, priced to sell I believe, somewhere around $540,000. It is already off the market, there were some bids put in, and it went fast. I never saw this property on zip realty, so I have no idea can anyone check on this?

The property at 1861 Playa Riviera is in escrow.

It was listed at $520,000-560,000 for about a week.

It sold “as-is”, and looked like a fixer-upper on the MLS.

3BR/2BA 1,013 sq ft on 8,300 sq ft lot. Was in need of lots of work as it was a rental for 10+ years. Went on the market on 12/19 with comments that no sign would be put up until January 1st. It went pending on january 2nd. Asking price was a range from 520K to 560K. Comments said seller was highly motivated. Last sale was 1/5/89 from an entity called San Marcos Development Co to Sanford Development Corp. Sanford Development Corp is also listed as the owner on 14 other properties in Lakeside, Vista, Poway, San Marcos and San Diego. No debt on the property was recorded nor was it on most of the other properties owned by this corporation.

Thanks guys. I was just surprised to see a fixer upper go so fast. I am curious if a family entered escrow or another investor.

Did this show up on Zip because if so my search isn’t working.

Cardiff I remember looking at properties there a few years back with my wife. It was kind of noisy right there next to the freeway as I recall wasn’t it?

Is there a way I can find the list of “open-houses” in a particular neighborhood or zip-codes?

I could always drive by and see them but thought there would be a better way of finding a list…

A little bird told me it’s in escrow for $560,000. I also heard there was some issues with the property that might not have been disclosed upfront which could cause it to fall out.

Can anyone find out if this went through or not? I haven’t seen anything down at that house. It was the subject of some coffee talk in the neighborhood. Rumors of 8 bidders, bidding the price up, and I was saying, no that isn’t exactly how I heard it.

Thanks sdrealtor. Regarding that house, too rich for my blood. I’d rather pay slightly more for a less junky place over in the area east of El Camino Real. There is another one for sale roughly across the street, and it’s had steady traffic.
