So I applied for a loan to refinance my 5.1% 30 year fixed loan to get a lower payment for rental purposes.
I had heard quicken loans was pretty good, so after much deliberation I applied.
The rep. pulls my credit and says you have very good credit, you may qualify for a premier program.
So 15 minutes later I get a call from his so-called Vice-President saying he needed additional information to qualify me for a special program (family and friends or something like that).
I’m not happy b/c I want to deal with just one person – which I was told would be the case. I’m thinking, what is this “VP” a closer, am I being scammed? I am suspicious of the mortgage industry in general…
I send my original rep. an email asking why am I now dealing with someone else? He sends me an email back with a bunch of high finance mumbo jumbo (something about t-bills) saying I need to do this tonight or it will cost more in the morning.
Anyone else have a similar experience? Am I being worked?
