Question from a novice

Firstly I would like to say how much I have enjoyed your forums. I have been a voyeur at this site for sometime.

I am new to the RE world. I have been a homeowner for 15 years, but have no idea how I ever got through the entire process. I was blindly lead through it, by a “friend.” I think he got the better end of the deal, lol.

My husband & I have been looking at the new homes in the Montemar divison in Arrowood, Oceanside for sometime, watching the prices fluctuate, not much, but some.

My first question is how can someone buy a $900k house and sit on it for months on end, empty, without having serious heartburn? I don’t think I could ever have enough money, or patience for that.

Secondly, can Joe Q. Public find out how much the original sale price, date of sale, etc. be found out, or are the folks in the “bizz” just privy to that info?

I did try zillow.com, but it doesn’t show up. Is that because it is a new developement in progress? If so, is there any other way?

Ask a realtor. There are some realtors on this site, perhaps they will look it up for you.

question #1: try monthly adjustable negative amorization 40 year loans starting at teaser rate of 1%.

question #2: I have had better luck with domania.com’s prior sales info than zillow.com

Even with those “designer” loans, one still has to pay taxes, insurance, etc. I wouldn’t sleep a wink!

Guess that’s why I always figured they have to bury me in my backyard, lol
