If you’ve paid your property taxes by credit card, did it get processed as a purchase or as a cash advance? I’m considering paying the 2.19% credit card fee as I need reward miles for a trip, but if it gets processed as a cash advance I won’t get miles and will get hit with additional fees from the credit card company. Thanks!

The property tax payment and the fee show up as a purchase on my AMEX and BofA Visa cards.
