So, I just got a property tax delinquency notice in the mail. I had completely forgotten about it and didn’t pay by the 4/11 due date. The delinquency charge is about $350. The delinquent tax + charge is due 6/30.
Does anyone have any experience, tips, or advice on how I can best negotiate to reduce or avoid this delinquency charge?
I am planning to call them Monday and ask if I pay immediately that they reduce the charges somehow. Does anyone have experience of this?
Note: I refinanced last year and that’s when I stopped having the bank accruing & paying my property taxes. I think I’ll call the bank and change that soon, too.
