Thanks for the entertainment. One of the funniest htreads in a long time. Perhaps we should all meet for cocktails in a La Jolla adjacent community to settle this all like men.
Should only take me 10 minutes to get there.

Asian people don’t necessarily care about grades or degrees. Some actually don’t. BUT, most asian people care about money….
So there you go…
We’re not all social hermits. Some of us just want to maximize profits….so we can buy bling….
We love Mercedes, we love BMW. Because obviously we love things that make us feel good. Forget that most of us can’t drive worth crap…Forget that most of us doesn’t really know what the “50” in a 750i really means or the “50” in a S550 is. And that we really don’t need a 5.0 liter engine, since we typically drive so goddamn slow on the freeway anyway… We just know the larger the number on a car, the more expensive it is… Lease? Monthly payments??? Pfff cash purchase baby….
Oh yeah, and we love Honda Accords and Toyota Camry. If you never owned a Honda or Camry, chances are you aren’t really asian. We love them because they’re cheap, their reliable…And because we have no taste in cars..And because we need to save money for…
A big house…Before we have kids. Must be in a good school district…Even if we don’t plan to have kids…Then when we buy the house (because we can afford it), we buy the cheapest most tackiest furniture we can find so that we turn our prestigeous $1million home into something that looks like…well crap….And we wear crap, like tshirts with lots of holes in them…..And when we do have kids, even though we’re in the best public school district, that’s just not good enough so then we spend even more money to send our kids to…enrichment programs…And for some of us, private schools. Ah yes, but we justify the purchase because we say well, our property will hold up value better because it’s in a nicer school district. Forget the fact we don’t even send our kids to the public schools…
But let’s also not forget the ladies. We love the fancy designer bags. Forget that some of them look like roadkill, or the insides of a raincoat, if it ain’t Burberry, Chanel , Louis Vuitton, it’s just not going to cut it. And don’t try to do that switch the old fake bag for the real thing technique. Because I know when your bag is a fake…..
Men? Rolexes. Must be rolex…Yeah, they are pretty ugly too. But who cares…It’s a rolex. It’s a rolex. Hey buddy, did you check out my rolex?
flu, this is a very profound, truthful statement as to Asian values, and coming from a presumed “Asian,” to boot. Not to be “stereotyping,” (nothing wrong with it) but . . . . absolutely true . . . all of it. Thanks for your honesty, flu!
Ha ha ha ha ha…. I guess now wouldn’t be a time to tell folks that at one point I was considering a getting body piercing….

I’m sure he can lecture us on the meaning of 750i, and that he has no tacky furniture in his house (which he didn’t pay a million for!)
