Participant
What do you think of the baby baby’s daddy?
It strikes me as sad because it emphasizes youth pregnancies in general, but really is not that interesting otherwise. He is only in the news because he is an outlier by a couple of dozen months. This woman with the 14 kids is quite another story. Those brits can’t one-up the good old U.S. so easily!

Participant
We must take care of the less-than-smart people. Everyone should have food, clothing, shelter, and health care. As a country, as a planet, this is our responsibility. But we must not procreate irresponsibly.

PBnative, I beg to differ although we probably have the same thoughts on this. I agree that everyone should have food, shelter and clothing, but what truly defines the less fortunate? I believe a person begging on the side of the street is probably just as capable as anyone to handle some sort of job.
If everyone in society became dependent on government money than eventually the country wouldn’t be able to sustain itself. This country just gives too much without some way of educating. If your father gave you money to survive every month at some point you wouldn’t remember or care what it was like to hold a job because you wouldn’t need one. That is my main point here. We have to focus on a system that will work because it is quite obvious the current one is broken. This government can and should not enable to irresponsible and lazy. That said the less fortunate should be taken care, but we need to draw the line between the less fortunate and the lazy.

ParticipantWe’re back to just teaching people to fish rather than feeding them.
And while we’re at it maybe rather than giving people money, we can just hand out birth control pills and condoms π
