I will say here that I actually do not disagree with Allan with his assessment of the European pussiness. I will also say this type of pussiness is not limited to the Europeans, but throughout most of the American client states around the world, including Asian countries such as S.Korea and Japan.
So why are all of our “friends” pussies? The answer is by allowing them to rely so much on American military might, we made them so. This reality must change. Much like if any of us have a son rather on the soft side, our objective is to toughen him up so he can fend for himself in the future, and not fight his fight for him even when he is fully grown.

OCR: I completely agree with you, and I think we should (being serious here) use this opportunity to announce to all of our erstwhile friends and allies that we are going to cut our defense budget by 50% and, from here on out, they can protect themselves against the various evil-doers of the world.
In absolute terms, we are spending way more on defense then we need to, including supporting bloated weapons systems programs that need to come off the books. Both Dem and GOP incumbents use the defense budget as a massive pork barrel to keep their constituents happy and its time to start cranking down the spigot.
Start with defense, and then go after corporate welfare, farm subsidies (which are all going to massive corporations), and every other friggin’ entitlement program out there.
Spread the pain, baby. We also need to do that same shit here in California. Cut spending and raise taxes.
