ParticipantPlanned Parenthood busses from the schools would help a lot. As a parent I would at least want to know that my child was safe while going to get an abortion. I would hate to find out that they had to ride their bike across town without my knowledge. The busses can line up after school like the karate and the church organizations.
PP should also give a commission to the studs. I would bet that certain popular football players get more than their fair share of lovin. They should profit like everyone else.
Having a child will totally ruin your life forever. No one should have to suffer like I have. Not having children does make your point moot.

Participant
The earliest you can see the embryo with ultrasound is about 4.5 weeks past the last menstrual period, or about 2.5 weeks after conception. A surgical abortion can be performed any time after the embryo can be visualized. Visualization inside the uterus is essential to prevent the attempt to abort an ectopic pregnancy.
Prior to 9 weeks after LMP you need to know exactly what to look for to find the embryo in the pathology tray. After 9 weeks it starts to look like a baby in there.
Abortion is obtainable in CA up to 24 weeks, unless a lethal anomaly is discovered later in pregnancy.
I voted against the prop, as I believe it will lead to increases in back alley illegal abortions, especially in this age group. Abortion MUST remain legal, even though I personally feel that you lose a little piece of you soul after you perform each one.
Thank you for the medical info, navydoc. I cut and pasted as best I could while linking my sources, but it is always good to have someone in the actual field of expertise weigh in.
I appreciate your perspective as well. I have done healing work with many people who have had abortions and the trauma sustained can be intense.

GuestI do have a kid. And I’m more pro-choice and anti-prop 4 than ever. If I had gotten pregnant as a teenager and my parents had been notified, they would have forced me to carry the pregnancy. And my life would have been ruined.
I’m glad all of you people had loving, non-fundamentalist-whacko parents. But not everyone is so lucky.
