ParticipantI don’t know. I don’t think I ever plan on retiring if I can help it. I think the biggest problems for me would I wouldn’t know what else to do…
I don’t enjoy travelling a lot and don’t enjoy eating out a lot, etc. And when the kid grows up, it’s not they would want me around all the time too.

I would like to hear more about this: “But you have to worry about inflation and confiscation”. I get the inflation, but what kind of confiscation do you think is possible. Good post about living within your means and also good info. from Bearish about some of the other issues that affect quality of life retirements.

ParticipantCan he even get a mortgage with an income source from dividends? The banks are really strict on who they loan to now…the pendulum effect from a few years ago.
