2015 is gonna be a year of all kinds of learning and training for me.

One thing I’m looking for is a residential therapy encounter group psychological seminar.

http://Www.radicalhonesty.com does 9 days of honesty in denver. Day 5 is completely nude.

I’m open to pretty much anything as long as it’s life changing.

anyone know of anything awesome and mindblowing?

Watched the infomercial. I don’t trust fat guys as gurus(if you are a guru you could at least learn how to eat) or people who got into psychology because of traumatic early lives.

I did a personal growth type retreat when I was 20 listen to all kinds of emotion provoking songs and had group meetings to discuss all kinds of past or present traumas, insecurities, talk about loneliness. There was some roll playing like someone was my mom who died suddenly when I was 10 and I got to talk to her and get angry and allegedly take my power back from her then forgive her for whatever. Lots of hugs, I think it was the first time I had a hug in my life. I thought it was good. life saving maybe. People who had been to the retreat could take classes to be facilitators at different levels but it was led by a Navy Chaplain of all people.

There was not too much bullshit there. This thing you are looking at might be good. Maybe you could graduate to facilitator pretty quickly.

I went to a church retreat for men with the Unitarian Universalist Church but it was pretty uppity and personal agendaish and pecking orderish. Not good, I was embarrassed all the time because I was low on the pecking order and really didn’t buy into the church too much anyway even though agnostics were welcome. It sucked. More good for camaraderie and networking to the extent you were connected, than personal growth . The stars of the church selling books and seminars. Whole different thing..not radical at all.

The new guidelines for LDL cholesterol are <100. I think getting there would be likely a personal growth experience of some kind, Like squatting 250. I am trying to get my LDL below 100, it's 113 now. Also thinking about coloring my hair.

Next time you sit down for dinner take your wife by the hands and have a staring contest, that should shake things up a bit. By the way let us know who wins and don’t be ashamed if it’s her. If you haven’t “found” yourself by the time you’re 40 then you’re probably lost. Above link reminds me of the movie “Interstellar” where even the computer(who’s truthful 90% of the time) says it ok to lie sometimes.

cannot people change and grow even when 40, 50, 60…70? that was one thing that drove me so nuts about my parents. their belief system never really got updated…

It’s possible, just not likely. My half brother is in rehab for the upteenth time. I personally think he would be better off (and happier) living in a commune with professional brain washers who would have a better chance of changing him.

i think i could change. dramatically.

my middle kid recently figured out im a truly wacked out liberal. he asked me tonight if being liberal was best. i said, what the hell do I know? nothing! I have no idea whats best…

i could change my mind about everything tomorrow!

Certainty can be a dangerous (and is usually a stupid) thing. It’s not something to be aimed for, imo.

To me there are few things more loathsome than a smugly certain person.
