[quote=Jim Jones]Rather then looking under the covers for some sinister motive for the “Obama is half-white” remark.
[quote]I wasn’t looking I saw those remarks, some right here on Piggington during the 2008 campaign.
There are other words such as “halfrican”, “halfmerican”. To me, these imply that Obama is not trustworthy because he’s not “one of us.”

October 21, 2009 at 10:04 PM #472120waiting for bottomParticipantThere is a decent amount of resentment in the black community over Obama’s race. Is he really the first black president?
He is of mixed race, raised in Hawaii by rich white people.
I look forward to the day when we have an african-american president: one who overcame the challenges an A-A kid who grows up in the US does.

October 21, 2009 at 10:30 PM #472135briansd1GuestIs Hawaii not part of US?
Obama’s grandparents were not rich. They were just regular folks. What about Alaska? Is that part of US also?
I don’t see the resentment in the Black community over Obama. They all love him (well, maybe not Allan Keyes).
Lots of white people love Obama as well. Young people in general love Obama.
