ParticipantMy children are half black, half white. My husband is from Kenya, and he has said that in the U.S., our children are considered black, but in Kenya, our kids are considered white. Just seems like the minority aspect predominates in either country.

Could it not be that they are emphasizing the fact that Obama’s does in fact come from a diverse ethnic background?
