BG: I’m fairly certain that EVERY guy of a certain age had that poster in his room. Kind of like that joke in “Wayne’s World” about the “Frampton Comes Alive” LP being “issued” to every kid in the suburbs.

Poor Phelps is a train wreck and will probably be the doormat for the chinese. He knew that his training was not enough and he just doesn’t have the speed. I think his sponsors pushed him into this and by the look in his eyes — he is seeing major media and competition beat downs coming.
I bet, like Andre Agassi with tennis, that he HATES swimming and this feels like torture.
