Joe asks a really stupid question to a politician. The politician comes back with an answer that should scare every American to his core and most of you attack the dim plumber. The story of Joe has nothing to do with being a plumber. Do you also take the hare and the tortoise literally?
The threat of a housing bailout caused grief on this blog and now a bailout of everything is justified. I get the feeling that a lot of traffic here on piggingtons is from the “Landed Poor” that want to be poor forever. Higher taxes are stupid and government will always be wasteful.
Gandalf, you should just give money directly to your neighbor to help them out. Although they may not accept anything from you since you are an arrogant SOB with a foul mouth.

I spend the most part of every week traveling the country, and see many different points of view.
Because you travel regularly makes you an authority on government and economics?
Motivated business people are not going to simply stand by and be taxed higher, when this tax money is going to govt bailouts and poor decision making by other people.
The government bailouts are being orchestrated by the Republican Bush administration. $10 trillion and counting so far. And your solution is to vote for a third Bush term? Nice logic there, ace.
– You are in school. You work very hard and get an A in your class.– Others in your class don’t work as hard and get a C.
At the end of the semester, should all the grades be accumulated by the teacher, and you all get a B? You still received a B, which is better than a C, so you should be happy to do it because you are doing your part and just getting taxed to support those who are are not choosing to do what you do.
What are you trying to analogize here? Are you comparing this situation to CEOs who get million-dollar bonuses when their company’s stock goes up and million-dollar golden parachutes when their company’s stock goes down? Are or you making the comparison to how the banker-class was given a $10 trillion dollar bailout for failing?
Bob, your syllogisms are simple-minded and border-line retarded. There is no way a simpleton like you will be able to own a successful business once Bush socialism has been taken away. I would have much more respect for you if you just admitted that you are voting for McCain because you depend on government largesse to run your business.

October 17, 2008 at 10:10 AM #288633anParticipant
AN, a smart business would hire only productive employees to begin with.
Businesses employees to begin with because they need the help. Business don’t hire superfluous employees because they can.
Please explain to me how an Asian immigrant engineer living in Mira Mesa, attended Mira Mesa High, benefits from John McCain’s platform.
I guess there’s a lot of “dumb” business out there then. I’ve worked for many company and mediocrity are everywhere. Are you trying to insinuate that how can a poor immigrant living in a poor neighborhood, who attended a horrible school benefits from McCain’s platform? It’s easy really… I will be paying LESS taxes w/ McCain’s tax plan than Obama’s. Then there’s education. I have one word for you… Voucher. You know what they say about ass-u-ming right?
