There is no product out there as catchy as the original Razr, and one of the problems it takes a long time to put a new phone design on the market quickly with all the regulations and compliance testings that need to be done.
One of the strengths of a mobile phone manufacturer is how well lined up is the product pipeline after one hit is released. Motorola stinks at this. They have one great hit, but didn't prime the pipeline with everything else. Now they are in the hole they are in. They repeatedly made this mistake in history. First with the transition from the startec flip phone, and again now with the razr.
Nokia typically has done well with this, except me thinks they are going to get hurt by the rising euro.
