Once I nearly ran into bees which were occupying a tree at the corner. The city removed it within a couple of hours. I believe it was animal control.
This was up in LA. =)
edit:
SD Animal Control wouldn’t have done it..

“Unfortunately, the County of San Diego CAN NOT remove bees from private property. We DO NOT recommend that you attempt to remove bees yourself.”April 25, 2011 at 4:49 PM #689107xtinaParticipantOnce I nearly ran into bees which were occupying a tree at the corner. He will eat the sweet treat from the hard working
bugs, and they will move.be aware, that spring is their weakest season,
now if you want to minimize their disturbance, why not
put a bee highway on them.it’s a big funnel attached to a 2″ PVC pipe going up in the air.
The bees go up it and mark the end as their entrance
and they defend that, so your walking around isn’t disturbing them, but they stay around and fertilize the garden.http://www.houstonbeeremoval.com/honeybee_removal.html
