Yep, this is what it’s all come down to. Lack of a bell curve and grade inflation. Need something to differentiate the kids.
High Schools teach that these stories make great excuses to get into school as well.

Then, when the school Professors own kids were graduating they received special attention. The worst was when the Professors that were sitting on the stage as the graduates received their diplomas and walked by, they only got up to shake the hands of the celebrity basketball players. I kept my mouth shut, but just pathetic.
